At Kasia Bialek Art, I want you to absolutely love the artwork you purchase. Each piece is created with care, emotion, and authenticity. This policy outlines my commitment to your satisfaction while respecting the unique nature of original art.

Shipping Information
    •    Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days after payment confirmation.
    •    Shipping Options: Multiple delivery options and associated costs are available at checkout, based on your location and preferred speed of delivery.
    •    Packaging: All artworks are carefully packaged to protect them during transit.
    •    Tracking: Once shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details so you can follow your order’s journey to your door.
    •    International Shipping: We offer shipping to select international destinations. Delivery times and fees may vary; any customs duties or import taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.​

Original Paintings

No Returns Policy

Original paintings are one-of-a-kind artworks and cannot be returned or exchanged. Each piece is unique and created as a singular expression of emotion and intuition.

Before you purchase an original painting, I encourage you to:

  • Request additional photos or videos of the artwork

  • Ask questions about size, colours, texture, or framing

  • Schedule a video call to view the piece in detail

  • Request colour samples or swatches to match your space

Exceptions for Original Paintings

I will accept returns or offer refunds for original paintings only in these circumstances:

1. Damage During Shipping

  • If your painting arrives damaged, contact me within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide photos of the damage and original packaging

  • I will arrange a full refund or replacement at no cost to you

 

2. Significant Misrepresentation

  • If the artwork is significantly different from the photos and description on my website

  • Colour variations due to screen settings do not qualify as misrepresentation

  • Contact me within 7 days of delivery with photo evidence

Limited Edition Prints

14-Day Return Window

Limited edition prints may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided they meet the following conditions:

Eligible for Return:

  • Print is in original, unused condition

  • Print is unframed and undamaged

  • Original packaging is intact

  • Certificate of authenticity is included and unmarked

 

Not Eligible for Return:

  • Prints that have been framed, mounted, or altered

  • Prints damaged due to improper handling or storage

  • Prints purchased more than 14 days ago

 

How to Return a Print

  1. Contact me within 14 days via email or through my website contact form

  2. State your reason for the return (optional, but helps me improve)

  3. Receive return authorization and shipping instructions from me

  4. Ship the print back using tracked, insured shipping (you cover return shipping costs)

  5. Receive your refund within 5-7 business days of my receiving the returned print

  6. Refund Method: Original payment method (PayPal, bank transfer, or SumUp)

Commissioned Artwork

Collaborative Process

Commissioned paintings are created specifically for you based on our agreed vision, size, and colour palette. Because these are custom pieces, they are non-refundable once completed.

Revision Process

To ensure you love your commissioned piece, I include:

  • Initial consultation to discuss your vision, space, and preferences

  • Concept approval before I begin painting

  • Progress updates with photos during the creation process

  • Up to 2 rounds of minor adjustments before final completion

 

Once you approve the final piece, the commission is considered complete and cannot be returned.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • Before I begin painting: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee

  • After I begin painting: 50% refund (covers materials and time invested)

  • After you approve the final piece: No refund available

Damaged or Lost Shipments

My Commitment to Safe Delivery

I take great care in packaging your artwork to ensure it arrives safely. All shipments are:

  • Securely packaged with protective materials

  • Shipped via Royal Mail with tracking

  • Insured for full value (on original paintings and high-value prints)

 

If Your Artwork Arrives Damaged

Step 1: Do not discard the packaging

Step 2: Take photos of the damage and packaging immediately

Step 3: Contact me within 48 hours of delivery

Step 4: I will file an insurance claim and arrange a replacement or full refund

I cover all costs associated with damaged shipments.

 

If Your Artwork Is Lost in Transit

If your tracking shows the package is lost or significantly delayed:

  • Contact me immediately

  • I will investigate with Royal Mail

  • If confirmed lost, I will send a replacement or issue a full refund

  • No cost to you

Refund Processing

Timeline

  • Prints: Refunds processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item

  • Damaged originals: Refunds processed within 3-5 business days of receiving damage photos

  • Cancelled commissions: Refunds processed within 7-10 business days

 

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method:

  • PayPal: 1-3 business days

  • Bank Transfer: 3-5 business days

  • SumUp: 5-7 business days

Exchanges

I do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item:

  1. Return the original item following the returns process above

  2. Receive your refund

  3. Place a new order for the desired artwork

This ensures accurate inventory and payment processing.

Consumer Rights (UK)

Your Legal Rights

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. You have the right to:

  • Receive goods that match their description

  • Receive goods of satisfactory quality

  • Cancel orders for goods within 14 days of receipt (under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

Please note: Custom-made or personalized items (commissioned artwork) are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right under UK law.

Distance Selling Regulations

As an online business, I comply with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. You have the right to cancel most purchases within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason.

Exceptions:

  • Custom-made or personalized goods (commissioned artwork)

  • Goods that have been unsealed and cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons
